Let me begin by congratulating Senator Obama and the entire staff on his stunning performance in the race to the democratic nomination.
His nomination now is certain. The real fight commences today. The Republicans will unleash their arsenal to crush down the Obama candidacy. Sure enough, they have a lot of it at their disposal. The Rev.Wright and the Tony Rezco issues will be on the forefront. The voting record of Obama in the State senate and the US senate will be scrutinized in front of the public with distorting eyes. Obama will be painted as someone who is alien to mainstream America; some sort of Soviet style leader.
The media might stay impartial, which would be a good thing. The media might not stay impartial. In which case, Obama needs to be ready to sidetrack the media and address the American people directly. He must re stress the need for change. He needs to tell the American people that the fate of the Nation is being adjudicated and the prognosis is not good.
Although no one seem to talk about it in urgent terms, the fate of this Nation is being adjudicated and the prognosis is not good.
Political and economic power is shifting to Asia and America is turning to a huge International Debtor and no one seems to have a problem with this. Let me ask you. Do you see any problem with this?
What is America’s bulk production in the last 25 years? Guess! Ok, it is credit and debt. It is simply hard to maintain a super power status while bankrupt. If America were an individual, she would have declared bankruptcy long ago.
People are really worried for their lives. In fact, most have been worried for the last 20 years. You may not be one of them. But there are millions in this camp. Senator Obama’s remarks, to the degree that they meant to highlight or capture this despair, were on the spot. People know it is true. What people would not be bitter when they see their government ruins their country and their livelihood by trying to build an Empire and pursuing an unwise war?
I think all Americans need to pause and carefully examine where the country is heading. Time is neutral. The time to act is now.
My advice to Senator Obama: The Republicans are on target at throwing darts at you so stay cool. Be well, do good works and keep in touch with the people.
